What I liked

Ms. Brenner is able to accomplish not only humanizing the American icon but never losing the weight and impact of the hardships endured. Everleigh Brenner dominates and controls the stage bouncing between the calm playful composure of a woman who has been thrust in the nation’s lime light to also allowing the audience a inside look into an intimate and vulnerable psyche. The performance is allowed to exist in a well crafted world developed by Brian Eckert who has clearly seen a vision in the play. A world of significant attire which carries us through the play’s arc, unfortunately idolized Mannequin physiques, and wigs which hold the weight of entire mythos’ of the women they represent.

Brian & Everleigh have crafted a production which has decided to accessorize Jackie’s persona in a way to better understand the components which allows us to only then be clearly impacted by the woman who stands before us at curtain.

My overall impression

The “Jackie” production’s genius is not only a credit to its playwright, but in greater credit to its phenomenal actress, Everleigh Brenner, and its wonderful director Brian Eckert.
