What I liked
Jonny is such a generous performer, able to take you through moments from light to dark, evicting tears and smiles, all with a feeling of intimacy and sincerity through his vulnerability. The studio space felt perfect for this show, contributing to the intimacy of the performance and connection with the rest of the audience. His interaction with the audience also made it feel like a unique and organic experience, like a conversation you’d have with a friend.
What I didn't like
I loved the medium of a one-man show and first-person pov for this intimate telling of his story! Would be interested to see how this could be translated into a third-person pov with a greater cast as a larger play or film! Definitely potential to develop even futher.
My overall impression
Jonny is a truly mesmerizing storyteller, able to captivate the audience and take them on an inspiring journey that portrays sadness, despair, hope, and triumph, and leaves one with the message to live life to the fullest. Truly a beautiful performance!
