The performers were enormously appealing and costumes by the cast were better than one would have expected.
What I didn't like
Those scene changes! I think we could have cut a good ten minutes off the show had moving furniture about not been so intrinsic to the production, which in a 100-minute production with no intermission is no small consideration. There might have been a tad more character delineation in some of ensemble roles.
My overall impression
I’m old enough that none of this was news to me, but that was not true for I guess…most of the cast. There’s a really nice turn by Mikel Farber in the lead. And I cannot tell you how delightful a foil Maya Knell was in three different roles. Had writer/director Dahn Hiuni not been so adept, Knell might well have tucked the entire show into her handbag and walked off with it. Do come for Kevin Michael Moran as the ghost of Sigmund Freud.
