As a Black trans writer, this play was overwhelmingly disappointing & socially irresponsible. The plot was driven by shock value & trauma porn. We sat through domestic violence, an involuntary blowjob aka RAPE, persistent transphobic & homophobic slurs, a pedophile confession...only to end in yet another death???? Who was this play for? Where was the care for the audience? We didn't even get a content warning. This play was heartbreaking for everyone I came with. ...
