I really liked Mary’s narrator character. While she was funny, she was also quite genuine, often times these devices can either be over-the-top or phony or make it feel like we are at a TED talk. However, Mary created a three-dimensional, full-fledged character with this narrator, and I found that to be particularly impressive. I loved the structure of her script and the overall pacing.

My overall impression
Mary is one of the most genuine and vulnerable performers I have ever seen. I really loved the hopeful ending. She gave this piece, it really could’ve gone a different way and I am so proud and admire the hopeful ending she gave us. She took us on a very clear journey of her life that held a lot of trauma yet she did a wonderful job of providing genuine levity in moments.
