What I liked

Mary was present and connected to the audience during her performance. There were times you could tell she adlibbed or improvised a moment or two and it really added to the experience. I laughed HARD at some points and even got teary at some points.

What I didn't like

I honestly have no notes, but I will say I really appreciated she gave everyone a heads up on certain Armenian terms at the top of the show. Maybe there are more opportunities for that kind of thing if she continues doing the show.

My overall impression

I’m honestly getting emotional just thinking about it. Mary was able to balance pain and humor so well which is not an easy thing to do. It was cathartic and had my attention the whole time. She managed to make something deeply personal to her and yet I still related to it and empathized. I love her POV; as someone who isn’t Armenian it’s been really cool learning more about their culture and history.
