Mary’s vulnerability as she shares her relationship with her mom – her intermittent presence, and more recent absence – is deeply affecting. This play is a study in unexpected ways of mothering – mothering oneself, mothering other loved ones, being mothered by family and friends. And Mary’s character work brings it all to life. Highly recommend seeing this play!

My overall impression
Mary tells her story with warmth and honesty. She’s a comic, so the humorous aspects of storytelling are second nature to her.
