Creative Conversations: Writing Queer Solo Work (co-presented with Celebration Theatre), 12-1:15 pm

In this workshop, we will discuss Queer Solo Theatre, the impact it has on the creator and the audience, and of course, how to make it happen. Being queer is an act of love, truth, resilience, and bravery. Standing in your truth, coming out, facing adversity, and the joy of embracing our queer siblings is a unique shared experience. Creating authentic queer theatre, in an industry where often little is to be found, is liberating for artists and a unifying experience of love for audiences. Join us with our friends at Celebration Theatre for an empowering session, celebrating queer storytellers.

Since 1982, Celebration Theatre is a nonprofit organization that entertains, inspires, and empowers with innovative productions that celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community.

Creative Conversations: Creating Theatre in the 2020s, 1:30-2:45 pm

What did we learn from the pandemic? From the 2020 uprisings? We’ve refocused our view towards new technologies, accessibility for both audience and creators alike, a reinvigorated instinct to come together, and authentic storytelling from vast cultures. Theatre is not the same – it’s better.

Join us to discuss the future of theatre and celebrate an artform as old as our species with veteran voices from the Fringe community.

Creative Conversations: Writing for Fringe 101, 3:00pm-4:15p
New to playwriting? Been around Fringe for a bit, but never in the creative process? This panel will deep dive with past Fringe award winners on how they approach writing for a Fringe audience. The voices of artists are the blood that pumps the heart of humanity- make your voice heard in a space where everyone is celebrated! We’ll show you how.
