Excellent use of the stage, utilizing all parts of the stage to distinguish different scenes. Bates is a fantastic actor and writer. Also the understated use of props was very efficient.
What I didn't like
A great show, honestly no notes here.
My overall impression
Bates’ one-man tour de force explores the latter part of coming-of-age as Frankie Bates finds his passion, leaves home, and loses his innocence. Cooper Bates anchors the entire show with grace and confidence, taking the audience from the backyard barbecues of Kansas to the hustle of Dallas. A smartly written show where funny anecdotes eventually build up to a shocking conclusion. Cooper Bates owns the stage; it is impossible to take your eyes off him.
