About the Project
One Take: A Live Virtual Theatre Experience. Our concept is to take plays traditionally done on stages in theatres and break down the barriers. We will be using a cinematic camera to film the plays as one continuous movie from beginning to end. Essentially, after your ticket purchase, you will get a link in your email and come the performance night you will simply open the link, stream to your television, and sit back and enjoy a full theatre performance shot as a professionally produced movie. This is done and performed live, no prerecorded gimmicks. For our first production we are running Venus In Fur by David Ives, a charming, electric, erotic dark comedy following a distressed playwright/director on his quest to find the perfect actor for his rendition of Venus In Furs, a tale of sadomasochism in the 1870’s.
