I went to the preview for Live Theatre Blog tonight and was blown away. It was the reason I love to see theatre. It was a beautiful piece so engaging and moving that I was brought to tears. It's a really realistic look at a young man's point of view of life, his mortality, and our place in the world through the eyes of a Peace Corps volunteer in Albania. I found it entertaining and completely unpretentious which can be hard to find in this town. A definite must see!... full review

The Hollywood Fringe offered me a new experience--watch LIVE THEATRE BLOG: MILK FROM STONE at 8am in my kitchen with Prague Castle and the eternal angst of Franz Kafka glowing in the background. Billed as a microphone, an actor and an audience, MILK FROM STONE is so much more. Why join the Peace Corp and travel the world when you can savor such a poignant and powerful play and the dazzling work of the irascible, always charming and likable Deven Simonson. Coeurage Theatre Company Resident Playwright Eric Czuleger spins the timely in-your-face tale of searching for self, sanity and life's meaning through a series of guilt-ridden vs guilty-pleasure adventures in Albania and world's far beyond this Roman/Ottoman/Macedonian inspired Easter... full review

I watched the live streaming of Live Theatre Blog and absolutely loved it. What a revolutionary theatre experience to be able to see a show that is 400 miles away about the current experience of a man who is 4000 miles away. I'm a long time fan of Czuleger's writing anyway, but to put forth the stories of a culture we're unfamiliar with, to see the world through someone else's eyes from the extremely touching and charmed ways of Deven Simonson's performance, was a rare gift. With poignant and effective direction by Sara Perry, this is an absolutely-don't-miss-because-you-will-severely-regret-your-poor-decision-making-skills-if -you-do kind of show. ... full review

LIVE THEATRE BLOG is a great show. I've come to expect this from Coeurage Theatre productions. What I wasn't expecting, however, was to take part in a experience that was so unique and challenging to the way I view theatre as a medium. MILK FROM STONE is a captivating script, and Devon Simonson delivers a commanding performance that is both bitingly funny and incredibly heartfelt. What really sold the project for me though was the scope of it. Knowing that my experience was being shared with complete strangers miles and miles away was truly amazing. This piece presents a fascinating possibility in the realm of theatre, that is the utilization and incorporation of live streaming. This show is undeniably moving, but more importantly it made me... full review

This collection of stories, allegories, and anecdotes from playwright Eric Czuleger (who is currently serving with the Peace Corps stationed overseas in Albania ) will both make you laugh and cry. The vivid tales are brought to life by master storyteller Deven Simonson to perfection. Don’t miss this gem of the Fringe!... full review
