My overall impression
generally strong choreography was undermined by direction—dividing into five stories that are explained to the audience BEFOREHAND; that and the contrivance of having audience participate becomes a bit patronizing.
best to let the dance SPEAK FOR ITSELF – felt like the creators didn’t trust it or the audience enough to “get it”;
would have preferred it staged as one full evening piece with sections that connected…
the dance film was beautiful!!!!
music is really good!
costumes are a bit dated and tacky.
