My overall impression
Despite excellent design work and fine performances, D is for Dog is DOA due to a serious lack of plot. The first act meanders along, a series of bizarre sketches- not especially funny and not especially interesting. The second act picks up a (small) bit, but is still hampered by the writing. Skip it.
