The Pirate Laureate of Port Town

My overall impression

I love plays that spoof the traditional….and “Pirate Laureate of Port Town” does just that. It’s a clever sendup to piracy on the high seas….this time piracy in a black box! Despite the small space, director Chil Kong utilizes it brilliantly, even including sword play…well okay one of the characters IS flailing a parasol…..
Perfect casting too, including Jon Cohn and Mark Withers…everyone actually, flawlessly transitioning from one character to another in record time.
I hope “Pirate Laureate” doesn’t end at the Fringe but sails beyond!
