My overall impression
I was most impressed by William Jones in “Whole Foods” because he conjured up an entire array of characters singlehandedly. A very good actor and the show itself is a good character study. “Gaby’s Playdate” had very charming and skillful comic interplay between Mandy Dunlap and Zuri Alexander but went on a bit too long; the show made a great point but we got the point again and again. “Talk in 10” seemed like it needs a bit more thinking-through but the actors worked well together and put the piece over. Unfortunately, our audience didn’t get to see “P, B & J” because one of the actors was ill. Still, I’m glad I saw this fun, mostly brisk and entertaining collection of short pieces.
