Jan O'Conner's "Pool of Gold" resonates with ideas and passion and the performance of Crystal Flores is something to remember. And Jan's underemployed and bitter Tinerkbell (played by Corey Clifford) is a great piece of fariy-tale retelling. "Fierce: L.A. The collection of three street scenes was interesting how they all weaved together. The final piece was the most avant-garde and was a good display of distraught subconscious bombarded with obsession. I wasn't able to follow what was being said, but the way it was performed certainly got the message across. The Tinkerbell story was somewhat interesting, and the middle piece was the most traditional of the storylines, but the actress's inability to maintain her accent was distracting from the rest of the story (and why was she required to be Latina if she couldn't handle the accent, it wasn't necessary).... full review

Pool of Gold and Trio give a great insight to the edge of life in downtown LA and the placement of a cranky Tinkerbell adds to the aspect of the unseen or passed by people of the streets of our city. Great acting, directing and writing with a refreshing look at life. Don't miss it!... full review
