I have to give it a "love" because I know I could come back a couple times and get a new variation of the show by watching a different character in Trio each time. For me that piece is like a song, I don't necessarily understand everything but the rhythm and movement are enough of a guide that I fill in my own pieces to the story. The fact that the piece is short helps to accept the unconventional storytelling method. All three pieces make for a satisfying blend, all so different but work great together.... full review

Jan O'Conner's "Pool of Gold" resonates with ideas and passion and the performance of Crystal Flores is something to remember. And Jan's underemployed and bitter Tinerkbell (played by Corey Clifford) is a great piece of fariy-tale retelling. "Fierce: L.A. The collection of three street scenes was interesting how they all weaved together. The final piece was the most avant-garde and was a good display of distraught subconscious bombarded with obsession. I wasn't able to follow what was being said, but the way it was performed certainly got the message across. The Tinkerbell story was somewhat interesting, and the middle piece was the most traditional of the storylines, but the actress's inability to maintain her accent was distracting from the rest of the story (and why was she required to be Latina if she couldn't handle the accent, it wasn't necessary).... full review

Pool of Gold and Trio give a great insight to the edge of life in downtown LA and the placement of a cranky Tinkerbell adds to the aspect of the unseen or passed by people of the streets of our city. Great acting, directing and writing with a refreshing look at life. Don't miss it!... full review

Really liked the show. All three stories flowed together nicely and I really enjoyed how they all tied together in some way. Opening with a fantastically bratty Tinkerbelle, then to an emotional standoff between a homeless man and a pilot, and ending with a high energy abstract piece about the streets of L.A., this show had me entertained the whole time.... full review
