The Complete History of Theatre; Abridged

My overall impression

There is an inherent danger in titling your work in such a way as to invite direct comparison of your work to that of The Reduced Shakespeare Co. Unfortunately, this show doesn’t come close to matching the wit and imagination of RSC.

Title aside, TCHoT: Abridged plays like a hastily assembled hash. It is a mostly didactic exercise in which the playwright has chosen to lecture much of what could have been entertainingly dramatized.

That being said, there was some excellent fight choreography.
