What I liked
The excellent performance. Charlotte had a confidence and calm intelligence that made the audience know they were in skilled hands.
What I didn't like
Because of venue, with no rake, if there would be a way of staging it where the seated scenes could be above the level of those seated in first rows, that would have been great.
My overall impression
It was a riveting tour-de-force, a lifetime of humor, of trauma, of love, of understanding and misunderstanding all in an edge-of-your-seat 35 minutes. Charlotte’s performance was exquisitely honed, transitioning from characters and time frames with a skill and technical precision was that breathtaking. Looking Past Loss was smart, trenchant, and ripped open the heart.
