Such a superb performance by a single actor. Ben Moroski carried this drama brilliantly from beginning to end with no other actors present and only a plastic sports cooler on stage.
My overall impression
Witnessing the character’s psychological and backrooms game spiritual breakdown in front of a live audience was like watching dynamite burst in slow motion from beginning to end. It’s passionately written and performed as he struggles to accept his shortcomings, which are pickled in alcohol, football, the death of his dog, and other things. In a beautifully heartbreaking way, the backrooms protagonist loses himself while adjusting to a tragic loss of life.
