The writing was spectacular. Moroski’s full, empathetic embodiment of Dog brought the audience in. A particular favorite moment was when, upon taking a shot with Dawn at the tailgate, he blacks out; the audible reaction from the audience proved that we had all bought into his journey and this latest blackout brought fear, grief, and disappointment. This was then expertly thwarted by humor.
