The characters were quirky and fun. Even though it was a staged reading the actors brought to life the characters in such a way that my imagination filled in a brilliant stage picture of what could be. Dripping with potential.
What I didn't like
I felt like it could have been longer. The biggest part that was missing was simply costumes and a full set (as it’s a staged reading this is excused entirely). There were moments it felt like nothing was changing but it might have just been the lack of stage movement/full body expression.
My overall impression
Fun. Witty. Existential. It touched on many chords a good play touches on and it didn’t feel forced. The tone set at the beginning gave clear expectations on where the story would go and, even with that, managed to surprise in many pleasant and endearing ways.
