What I liked

The way the script was pieced together, the very folksy yet wildly intelligent information and delivery. Someone mentioned that they couldn’t tell where the actor ended and the character began and I fully agree. And I totally loved that this took place in the Ren theater. It really made me feel like I was watching Ingersoll back in his time.

What I didn't like

If you pulled my toenails to force me to come up with some thing, then perhaps some of the pauses between sections could be shortened and different energy could be utilized in certain passages, but really, this show is just what it should be.

My overall impression

I remembered enjoying the first production of Ingersoll several years ago, and I was not disappointed with this version! I was reminded of “Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln” if that animatronic performance was more lively, fun, tongue-in-cheek, and have far less use of the word God. But both firmly have the American flag waving behind them. I’m so glad Ernest introduced me to Robert Ingersoll. I’m sure it helps that I share his views, but the way they are expressed in this production are clear enough and passionate enough that even ardent believers should come away with understanding of a different point of view
