Meg Lin makes effective use of minimal props and a limited set to frame her story.
What I didn't like
The streaming service provided by this venue was not adequate.
My overall impression
In an era with escalating hate crimes against Asian Americans, this show is a moving reflection on growing up without fitting in. Meg Lin shares a compelling story of a young life dealing with self-hate in a household haunted by a mentally ill mother. There is just enough laughter to let you draw an occasional breath as Meg shares her trauma and eventual peace with the conflicts in her life. Meg Lin is intensely present and honest in this compelling one woman show.
