What I admire most is Meg’s bravery and vulnerability to openly share her personal story. She has lived a life of accomplishments and it was interesting to hear about the struggles and support to achieve them.
What I didn't like
It’s not so much of an "improvement’ not, but just that Meg can lean into even more. It go bigger. More specificity for each character. was only 3 shows and I can only imagine if it were longer, how much more depth it can reach, which takes time. I hope you bring What Am I, Chopped Suey back!!
My overall impression
I thoroughly enjoyed “What Am I, Chopped Suey?”. It was heartfelt, funny, sad, inspiring and as an Asian American Female, very relatable. I feel there’s a need for us to hear these stories so that we don’t feel isolated and insecure. And if we start sharing these stories more, we can actually come together and have empathy and compassion for one another instead of competition and comparison. And not just as “asians” per se but as overall humanity as we all share the same instinct to survive and need the for support and desire to be loved.
