What I liked
This can only be a monologue. It was great watching her go between narrating and enacting each event between. The props were great. The voice inflection and tone was spot on emotionally and helped us be on the emotional journey with her. Pace was good. She seemed like a natural and very comfortable telling this story. It appeared effortless!
What I didn't like
The only thing I’d say is there’s a lot to catch between each piece of the storyline. I feel like I need to see it a few times to catch it all! There’s no need to slow it down. Just maybe emphasize the really important points to catch throughout as she narrates so that we leave with what she intends her audience to leave with eg heightened DEI awareness about growing up in a culturally unfriendly environment, or mental health awareness for kids with unhealthy parents, etc.
My overall impression
Fantastic monologue! Engaging, insightful, thought provoking, emotional, and strategic. Wisely written and enacted. Would see it again as there was a lot to get and super interesting! Great job Meg! You’re a true STAR!
