I liked Meg’s stories, especially her relationship with her mom and dad. They were both relatable and heart-warming. I am also impressed with Meg’s openness in addressing mental illness which can sometimes be a taboo subject in the Asian community. Meg has guts!
What I didn't like
I watched it online since I live in Texas. There were some technical difficulties at the beginning but they were quickly corrected.
My overall impression
Wonderful one-person show! I laughed, I cried, I felt anger, and I felt hope for Meg Lin! She is truly a talented actor and script-writer! Being an ABC (American Born Chinese), I can relate to Meg’s struggle to find her identity and self-worth among her OBC (Overseas Born Chinese) parents as well as among her mainstream white friends. Two thumbs up!!!
