It was an honest and compelling performance. A unique point of view about the Asian-American experience, told with heart and humor.... full review

Wonderful one-person show! I laughed, I cried, I felt anger, and I felt hope for Meg Lin! She is truly a talented actor and script-writer! Being an ABC (American Born Chinese), I can relate to Meg's struggle to find her identity and self-worth among her OBC (Overseas Born Chinese) parents as well as among her mainstream white friends. Two thumbs up!!!... full review

I lived in NYC in the 1980s of Danny Hoch's "Jails, Hospitals and Hip Hop", and worked in the Bronx (albeit 30 years after) the setting of Chazz Palminteri's "A Bronx Tale". So, I had some connection to these autobiographical one-man shows. What would I get from Meg Lin's one-woman "Who am I, Chopped Suey?" show? I got a lot... and I suspect you will, too. She shares her Chinese-American upbringing, which if you are not an immigrant, you will get the hyphen American part. If you do have an immigrant family experience, even if not Chinese, you WILL get the Chinese parts of her story, because so much of the "American Dream" is actually quite scary for almost all immigrant families. I went to the "world premiere" show this past weekend with... full review

I had the privilege of watching Meg's show in person, and it was such a great performance. Meg shared intriguing stories from her life about both rejection and acceptance, and she had the audience captivated from beginning to end. She took us through a range of emotions, and she had us bursting out in laughter one moment and in tears the next. "What am I, chopped suey?" is a must see. Highly recommended to see it in person.... full review

I am very disappointed. Meg's show did not start at 6:30 p.m. There was another video playing for quite some time. I tried back around 7 p.m. and although Meg's video was finally playing, the sound was poor and the video was blurry. I could not continue watching. I was anxious to see Meg perform. I hope you give "rain checks".... full review

The show started broadcasting around 7:00 pm so we missed the first half of the performance. Also, the sound quality was very poor....Meg needed to have a mic for the broadcast. Also, the camera was in a location which didn't allow for closeups. The traffic noise was also a problem especially with the poor sound quality.... full review
