Meet Gary, Shirley, Mateo, Taylor, and Anika: the patients of Gibbs Behavioral Health Center. Through a series of moments and monologues, our troupe of troubled outcasts befriends the character of Anika, who begins to wonder why she feels more at home with a truck-driving womanizer, a badass bagger, a fearful overachiever, and a devil-fearing Zumba dancer than with anyone else. Risk of Elopement begs the question: Is it possible that the typically dark and dangerous world of a psych hospital might be more forgiving and sensical than our own?
