What I liked

The opening scene was phenomenal. It built up the persona of Aura so that she could be completely investigated and peeled back like an onion throughout the show. The portrayal of her mom was brilliant. From the vocal tonality and timbre to the shifts in physicality to the effortlessness she had as she transitioned from herself to her mother, it was fantastic. The same goes for the portrayal of love interest and key into the inner psyche, “Todd.” The musical selections playing in the theatre before the show began was great at setting the vibe of the space. It was touching, hilarious, and chock-full of vulnerability and wit. Brava Aura, brava!

What I didn't like

The only thing I can think of is MORE shows to get MORE butts in those seats!

My overall impression

Every aspect was absolutely engaging and entertaining. All eyes were on her from the moment the show began as Aura Sublime descended down the staircase. The audience got a look into the inner-workings of Aura and I loved being inside of her mind for 35 minutes.
