Mamet can be dense and wordy on his own. It can be easy to get lost in so many back and forth discussion YET the actors managed the wordplay extremely well. I was impressed with their ability to not only keep the pace of each conversation but to keep the thread of each vignette. It kept me on the edge of my seat and it was a pleasure to watch.
Each actor brought their own personality to each character. Managing multiple characters in such a short amount of time with very short scripts can be difficult but every actor handled it aplomb and it showed in each moment.
There is a little bit for every viewer. Comedy, tragedy, fear, helplessness, and comraderie were all on display.
What I didn't like
I don’t see any need for improvement.
My overall impression
This is a great show that is comprised of four short acts by David Mamet. Though not all are connected, each section speaks on the human condition and how we react to the outside world, each other, and our own individuality.
