Good story telling – the arc moves from hope to despair to hope, light to dark to light. Reminder of our gay history – getting a positive HIV test result in the 90’s, men dying from AIDS. Interesting perspective from a black gay man, with examples of how he was discriminated for being black and a man. Story of community and family, and tools that helped and healed.
Great music selection.
What I didn't like
We watched the Livestream show. Livestream used zoom. Audio was somewhat poor quality. TIP: Download zoom app if you have it ahead of time – the link email didn’t mention this.
Of course, I’m expecting the real, in-house experience is often incomparable to the livestream.
My overall impression
Beautiful and bold perspective from a black gay man. Austin’s heartfelt story, where he bares his soul, and legs, and. . . was moving and inspiring
