I just LOVED how Austin is slowly getting into drag the whole show; little bits of make up, a clothing item, etc as he shared his his story. It’s fascinating to watch someone get ready. It’s vulnerable, and makes everything feel more relatable, human, and messy in the right way.
What I didn't like
I would’ve liked to hear more about Austin’s relationship with drag, and how that helped him find meaning/hope/love for himself. Just a deeper dive into that—-that could probably be a show all in itself.
My overall impression
Beautiful, brave, and touching piece of solo performance. Austin’s life journey is filled with all kinds of ups and downs, and he shares them so generously, honestly, and leaves the audience feeling inspired to keep on going no matter how hard it gets. “I’m still here” love it !!!
