What I liked
He cracks jokes, sings, and presents short films in a fast-paced hour of music and lyrics that spans genres—rock, ballads, rap, and pop—building a bridge between Billy Joel and Lin-Manuel Miranda and beyond. You’ll leave feeling connected to your fellow humans, after realizing the mysterious meaning of life.
What I didn't like
The only thing that could improve this would be more time and a full cast of characters!
My overall impression
I’ll admit, I’m a longtime Steve Altman fan. From his musical stand-up comedy to satirical skits and musical plays, he’s always made me laugh, think, and smile. This show is one of his best works, a plea and homage to humanity, the state of the world, and the wonder and absurdity of it all.
