Steve Altman is an exceptionally talented singer-song writer. He’s also an incredible actor. I’ve seen Steve perform many times in the past and his performance of Atlantis & Vine will not disappoint. Steve has a way of creating magic with music. And man, can he sell a song- it's hard to explain, but when he hits the keys you feel it. It's a unique experience watching him perform his creations--It's truly Altmanesque. There's no one like him --his voice, the chord progressions and those soaring catchy melodies that make you laugh and tap your feet. Then in an instant, it turns--there is that sudden offbeat dissonance and your heart is in your throat. The audience was constantly smiling and wiping tears. I knew Steve Altman was talented the first time I saw the John Lennon tribute show Just Imagine which I've probably seen at least 20 times. But his talent far exceeds who I knew him to be. I told him it was genius after the show and I meant it. So insightful, deep, and spiritual. It makes you really think, in spite of how comedic it was at times. Yes, you will laugh, and at times you will feel sad, and that's the whole point of art....to make you FEEL. Bravo Steve Altman!!!... full review
