What I liked

The wonderful songs, perfect costumes, and likeable cast all help to immerse you in a world where it is absolutely believable that a young man might choose to escape a predetermined life of drudgery and find a world where he is free to live in beauty and express himself through his art.

My overall impression

A charming look at what happens to dreamers who spend their lives chasing the idea of impossible utopias, instead of making the best of what reality has to offer. Ironically, the plot reminded both my son and me of our favorite Dr. Seuss classic, “I Had Trouble in Getting to Solla Sollew.”
