I liked the way John used his space. I also appreciated the way he interacted with his audience without relying on that interaction. I also liked the way he was able to convey some of the absurdity of pieces of the story, to give us permission to laugh at an epic tale with an imposing reputation.
What I didn't like
Due to the difficulty with the Fringe announcement at the beginning, it was a little hard to tell when the story started, as it was all John talking.
My overall impression
I loved this show. It made the story accessible and engaging. John was riveting and held my attention. When the hour finished I immediately wanted to see it again!
