The actor was just perfect. From the moment he came in stage he WAS Tommy Cooper. Just perfection.
What I didn't like
1. Too short! I would have loved more.
2. The final trick was different than his actual last trick. I attribute this to the fact that he would have needed a second actor for an assistant to put on the robe, but knowing something about Tommy Cooper (the video of him collapsing is on YouTube), it would have been great to see his final act with all the magic and the disturbing end where he fell and the audience, not knowing any better, kept laughing.
My overall impression
Fantastic show. Tommy Cooper came to life in this wonderful play which masterfully juxtaposed his comedy and his inner doubt. The jokes and magic were fun, and the deep reflection on his life brought a tear to my eye at the end.
