What I liked

Erin captures the essence of all the characters that she embodies. Her energy and skill grab the audience, and the themes in the stories are presented in a manner that is both compelling and entertaining. The backing musical selections are spot on. The prop and costume items are useful without being distracting.

What I didn't like

The audience participation elements are good but can seem like set-ups, which of course they are. It might be a lot to expect the performer to take unscripted questions from the audience, but it might be worth trying sometime.

My overall impression

The play and performance were by turns moving, funny, and very thought-provoking. Writer/performer Erin Elizabeth Burns puts her heart and soul into this work, and I left the theater with a lot to ponder.
