Yoder is an exceptionally gifted live performer, and his charisma is given the spotlight throughout the entire show. He especially shines in the moments when he’s able to play directly with the audience, dangling each of us on a tiny string.
What I didn't like
My main critique of the entire show is that the performer was held back by the text. Johnny is a ball of molten hot metal when he’s on stage, and this text failed to rise to this performer’s craftsmanship and ability level.
My overall impression
A fun, sometimes tense, always absurd, and ultimately rewarding stream of consciousness romp and celebration of language.
