Nostalgium's writing is beautiful. If you like poetry, or large concepts, drug use, interesting conversation, and bizarre physical ailments... this is your thing. My one complaint was the darkness of the production (something I hear is changing!) and the inability to see the speakers faces. Both of the actors have CHOPS, for sure, and this play makes for a well spent evening because of it. Beautiful writing, strong acting, in need of a little more light! ... full review

Pretty cool, David Lynch/ David Cronenberg-esque story. The actors were very real and engaging. Dark story that pulls you in, full of twists and turns with a shocking and unexpected ending. I loved it!... full review

Most of, if not all of the few problems I have with this piece lie almost solely with the writing. While the actual dialogue is good and well written for the most part, the majority of the story doesn't happen in the now, i.e. between the two characters (action, conflict)... but rather seems to string on in one monologue after the other, all the while not really connecting the two characters together. It's a structural thing. The script mulls through many interesting concepts and absurd scenarios (a goldfish that lives in a bong for example), which again shows the writer is creative, but without some engaging conflict between the two characters for the majority of the piece, I felt more like I was back in some Portland apartment, listening t... full review

I really enjoyed this piece. I also accept it as a piece that is in progress, not necessarily perfected- which is the whole point of Fringe! The story is very intriguing and is apparently based mostly on real events making it even more interesting. The writing was not particularly predictable making the piece thoroughly engaging. I usually get extremely restless during a show (esp ones without intermissions) but this one kept me completely engaged. I liked one of the actors a lot better than the other one so that was probably the weakest part for me. Bravo. ... full review

Saw this at the Fringe Festival, and it really wasn't my thing. It felt very long and I think the performances were uneven in parts, especially from the male character. Its difficult to make an hour and a half long piece with only two characters in one setting interesting, and this failed to do that for me. This is just my opinion.... full review

The writing is beautiful, full of surprises, and worth seeing. Let it take you places and then once you're lulled into curiosity, it will hit you in the head. Most exceptional is the acting. Tracy and Luke turn in stellar performances and make the convuluted script and tortured lives of two addicts believably sad. They play off each other's insanities completley in synch. ... full review

The writing was amazing! The actors were very comfortable and relaxed. Reminded me of "Waiting for Godot" but without trying. But I thought it was beautiful and sad at the same time... full review

Nostalgium was like the boat ride in Willy Wonka ,Amazing, Beautiful, Dark, Poetic, and Frightening. I loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Acting of Ms. Tracy Dillon and Mr. Luke Scroggings was top notch. From the opening of watching Dillons's "Sandra" count endless amounts of spoons to the strains of Wonka's Candyman in an apt out of David Lynch's best dream I knew I was in for a wild ride. Then enters Scroggins "Luke" with a army bag full of God knows what and strap of your seat belts cuz this is going to get good! And it does! I don't want to give anything away but DO NOT MISS THIS Theatrical experience. ... full review
