What I liked

The song that compares sex workers to vacuum cleaner salesmen was a hilarious showstopper! The show is a poignant examination of the moral compromises we sometimes have to make to survive.

What I didn't like

I’m not sure the billing as a “rock” musical is entirely accurate. While there certainly is a rock influence on some of the songs, overall I would say the score falls more into the category of traditional musical. That said, the music’s great!

My overall impression

Beautifully captures the rag tag camaraderie and often dangerous existence of those trying to be their true selves and survive in the Tenderloin.
