"Lvl 1 Gygax” and “Of Branch, Of Beast, Of Beatnik"

What I liked

Pastiche Queen’s ability to inhabit and commit to a multitude of characters is fascinating. But, PQ’s warm, soulful writing is the beating heart of this show, and definitely worth the price of your rapt attention.

What I didn't like

More context going in would help the audience hit the ground running, but, frankly, that could be a one-sentence summary in the show’s program or a different subtitle.

My overall impression

Pastiche Queen’s one-person show is an inventive peek through the keyhole of the life of a creator of a sprawling game/lifestyle. PQ conjures a tiny, specific universe to tell an intimate story that I imagine most of us haven’t heard.
