Everything. The way Norris finds to play the game of the bit with himself and the audience. To mention anything specific would spoil the surprises in store.
What I didn't like
Nothing. Maybe having someone on hand to massage one’s facial muscles after the show.
My overall impression
Warning! Only see this show if you’re into laughing non-stop for 50 minutes. John Norris delivers a tour de force of absurdist comedy bits that gleefully defy easy categorization. His work is both vaudevillian and modern, with characterizations and sight gags that charm as much as they pound repeatedly on the funny bone. There is something Bill Hader-ish about his manner and character work – and yeah, he’d be right at home on SNL. Chonkers is hands down the most hilarious thing I’ve seen at the fest.
