What I liked

I loved the hand bit in the beginning. It’s so hard to pin point everything I liked. There was so much to take in. The repetition of the bits is really what makes everything so funny. Such commitment to each bit was just hilarious.

What I didn't like

My only note or thought is the lighting. Having the lights shining on the audience was a little distracting for me. I think it was because of John’s interaction with the audience, but I wonder if there’s a middle ground? I would have liked more of the attention, more of the lights, on John and his performance.

My overall impression

Absurdly delightful and unexpected whilst being almost exactly what I expected. From the title to the poster you can generally get the idea of what you’re getting into, but…you don’t know. You just don’t know. It’s an adventurous ride that had me wide-eyed and guffawing. John Norris is unapologetic and quirky to the nth degree. I want to see it again and again because I suspect it will never be the same performance twice.
