I walked in knowing nothing about Gene or Gilda, so half the show felt like I’d wandered into a fan club meeting by accident. A few intro clips at the start would’ve saved me from nodding along like I knew what was going on. Mental note for next time: do some quick research… or just visite o site beforehand so I don’t feel like the only confused one in the room.
What I didn't like
A wild, campy, one-person whirlwind of a show featuring two people I only vaguely recognized—but honestly? Still delightfully worth watching.
My overall impression
The outrageous costumes, the props, and the way the actor tag-teamed with the video and audio like they were old friends. Her constant eye contact felt less “I’m watching you” and more “we’re in this together,” which was a relief. The poetic umbrella-with-pink-shoes moment nearly made me emotional—and the goofy songs and finale dance? Comedy gold.
