What I liked

If you hold the key or hold your finger longer, the character will jump continuously – very important for thick jumps or consecutive obstacle chains. Although there is only one operation, Geometry Dash requires high precision, because if you are off the beat by just a fraction of a second, you will have to return to the starting point. The interesting thing about Geometry Dash is that you not only control the basic jumping “cube”, but also have to get used to many gameplay types that continuously change throughout the game. For example, Ship mode requires you to hold the key to fly up and release to land like piloting a small spaceship, while UFO lets you jump in stages. Ball reverses gravity on touch, Wave requires you to hold to go up and release to go down, creating sharp zigzag lines, Robot helps you control the jump height depending on the force of the press, and Spider allows you to teleport between the ceiling and the floor. Each mode has its own difficulty and requires practice to master. One of the most important skills when playing Geometry Dash is to memorize the rhythm and obstacle structure. The music in the game is not only for listening but also acts as a timing signal, letting you know when to jump, hold or release the key. Playing many times will help you remember the location of traps, spikes, mode-changing gates, and the speed of each section. Don’t forget to use Practice mode, where you can set checkpoints to practice each difficult part of the game without having to start over. Finally, keep a relaxed and patient mind. Geometry Dash is famous for its high difficulty but is also very “addictive” because of the feeling of conquest when completing a level.

What I didn't like

Each failure is a step towards understanding how the game works, and each success is the result of precise practice. If you focus on the beat, learn to react properly, and gradually get used to each mode, you will get better and better and be able to overcome the difficult and challenging levels of Geometry Dash.

My overall impression

Geometry Dash is a challenging rhythm-platformer where you control a small square block to overcome a series of obstacles at an increasingly fast speed. The game has extremely simple controls: on PC, you just need to press the Space key, Up Arrow or left mouse button to jump, and on mobile, you just need to tap the screen.
