Great voices, good choreography, actors and music were on point. I particularly appreciated the opening monologue to the audience by Gordon himself transitioning into the first scene of the show.
What I didn't like
If I were to be nitpicky, I would say practice makes perfect and taking the lessons learned from musical one to musical two, the third venture could include music stings during big dramatic moments, and a clearer arc and resolution for the characters.
My overall impression
Gordon Matheson‘s second musical far exceeds his first in every way. The story structure, characters, casting, the production, the choreography and singing, all of it really works, and the direction by Soda flows incredibly well. Gordon always comes from a place of caring and love and this musical encompasses those themes quite well.
