What I liked

The nonstop flow of songs, impressive dance sequences, and creative movement all help re-enforce the themes that in recovery, anything can be overcome with the help of a power outside ourselves, the strength of community and taking responsibility for our own actions, no matter what! (Or should I say No Matter Watt?!)

What I didn't like

This play is billed as a prequel, and apparently the sequel can be found online. Perhaps I should have watched it before?

My overall impression

That Gordon Matheson is a wily cat. No sooner has he begun what at first feels like an off the cuff extemporaneous introduction to the show, then you realize that before you know it, there’s music playing underneath him, and the show itself has already begun! An inspiring semi-autobiographical stream of consciousness look at the power and strength of the human spirit to rise above deep personal loss, disease, relapse, and mental illness and be of service to both ourselves and others.
