This show was apparently 90 minutes long but when it ended I felt like I could have clicked onto another episode! The show flowed like some of my favorite sitcoms and I want to binge watch. The writing was especially witty and as a cisgender gay man I was captivated by how relatable it was. The representation of non-binary and trans masculine experiences is sure to fill a void for someone in the way gay stories in recent years have filled a void for me. We are starting to see more gay stories in the media but queer relationships need to be shared as well and this production did exactly that. The actors acted in a way that did not feel like acting but rather felt like I was in the diner listening to some loud friends having conversation, the chismoso in me enjoyed that very much! I will end my thoughts by saying if this was written as a series it would need to be on HBO MAX because the chemistry was spicy!
What I didn't like
There were a few staging/lighting moments that felt clunky but I did go to the first show. I also think there were a few pacing issues where lines felt rushed over in the beginning but I felt the actors becoming more comfortable as the play went on.
My overall impression
Genuine, relatable and very engaging!
